Welcome to Pay it Forward with Jackie Inc.

Pay it Forward with Jackie is a non-profit organization. It is built on the hopes and dreams of a childhood cancer patient, a little girl, named Jackie, who inspires to “pay it forward”. Our mission is to increase the number of donors on the National Bone Marrow Registry by hosting bone marrow drives, providing relief to the poor by working with local food pantries, providing gift certificates and/or bill payment to qualified applicants with special consideration to families struggling with a childhood cancer diagnosis.

We are thrilled to announce that one of the donors we registered at one of our bone marrow drives has made the commitment to save a life. As a result, a young boy received his life saving stem cell transplant. Click on Upcoming Events to learn where you can register to be a life saver.

WE REGISTERED 2,679 PEOPLE AT OUR BONE MARROW DRIVE FOR JULIANNA (SWABS FOR JULIANNA) AND BROKE THE RECORD OF MOST REGISTRANTS AT 1 DRIVE FOR DKMS AMERICAS THIS YEAR!!!!

WHO'S JACKIE?

Jackie, a 6 year old vibrant little girl, is not like other children her age. On Christmas Eve, 2006, Jackie, at the age of three, instead of waiting for Santa , was in the ER where she was diagnosed with leukemia (AML), an adult form of leukemia not commonly seen in children. Jackie fought hard through months of chemotherapy and was even put on a ventilator at one point. Yet, she continued to fight and finished treatment August 2007. Sadly, Jackie’s stubborn disease returned in February 2008 ,worse than ever. Jackie once again was in the battle for her life and would ultimately need a bone marrow transplant to survive. There were no suitable donors on the registry for her. If not for an unrelated cord blood donation she would have died. Jackie still suffers post-transplant complications but pushes herself daily by
“paying it forward”
